29/11/16 The Winged victories who are seated at the base of the Daniel O'Connell statue on Dublin's O'Connell Street bathe in evening sunlight this evening. Each of the angels represents a virtue associated with O'Connell, Courage, Eloquence, Fidelity and Patriotism, they also represent the four provinces of Ireland.There are bullet holess in two of the Victories, a legacy of 1916-1922.
